Reading change.
Understanding a new era.
New Epoch Journal examines the transition from established systems to emerging ways of living and working. We ask how technology changes the economy, society, culture and everyday life—and what individual events reveal about that change.
Three spaces, distinct purposes
News examines context and readers’ questions. Lab documents practical implementations and their results. Academy supports teaching and learning. We connect relevant material rather than repeat the same article across every space.
How we report and explain
We start with original announcements and primary sources. Established facts, our interpretation and future plans are distinguished. Claims about performance, prices or dates retain their conditions and time frame. An experiment in one environment is not presented as a guarantee elsewhere.
Our analysis generally moves from an everyday contradiction to its underlying causes, the limits of existing solutions, evidence from a practical case and the implications for individuals and society. This is a way to develop an argument, not a fixed set of headings. We do not force every subject into a story about AI or corporate criticism.
AI, illustrations and translations
AI assists with gathering story candidates, organizing material, drafting and creating illustrations. The operator remains responsible for publication. Concept illustrations are identified separately from real photographs and application screenshots. This English edition translates the Korean articles while preserving evidence, qualifications and source links. Some original artwork and linked implementation records are in Korean.
Corrections and updates
When an error is confirmed, we correct the article and record the reason and timing. We do not refresh dates merely to make unchanged work look new. Please use the UPMI contact page for correction requests.
Publication status
Reviewed Korean and English articles are publicly available. The front page is an editorial selection, not a live search-trend ranking. AI-assisted research and drafting are being prepared; articles undergo evidence checks and editorial review before publication.
