The Atlanta Falcons visit the New Orleans Saints at Caesars Superdome on Monday, October 5, with kickoff at 8:15 p.m. Eastern. ESPN carries the US national broadcast. In Britain, the same game starts at 1:15 a.m. BST on Tuesday, October 6, on Sky Sports NFL and Sky Sports Main Event.
The matchup is also part of the commemoration of the Superdome’s reopening after Hurricane Katrina in 2006. For viewers searching for tonight’s game, the practical distinction is between the broadcast start, the kickoff and the service available in their country.
Kickoff is 15 minutes after the ESPN presentation starts
ESPN’s October 2 announcement lists its game presentation from 8 p.m. ET. The Falcons’ October 5 viewing guide specifies kickoff at 8:15 p.m. ET. These are different points in the same evening, rather than conflicting start times. Kickoff corresponds to 7:15 p.m. Central, 6:15 p.m. Mountain and 5:15 p.m. Pacific in the US daylight-saving zones.
Sky’s published weekly schedule lists coverage from 1 a.m. Tuesday and kickoff at 1:15 a.m. The date change matters: a British viewer should look for the early hours of October 6, even though the fixture is called Monday Night Football. The diagram below aligns those clocks.
US television and streaming are not interchangeable
ESPN is the national TV route. The broadcaster also lists ESPN2 for its alternative presentation and ESPN Deportes. Atlanta’s official guide lists WANF/46 locally. For online viewing it points to the ESPN website or app; check the ESPN access included with your existing subscription before purchasing another service.
NFL+ is a separate US option with a specific limitation: live local and primetime regular-season games are available on phones and tablets. Its support page lists television devices for other features, but that does not make this live game available on all of them. NFL+ Premium replay and RedZone access should not be confused with live-game device eligibility.
British viewers should use the UK listing
Sky lists this matchup on Sky Sports NFL and Sky Sports Main Event. Its fixture guide links to its subscription options and NOW streaming route. This article has not verified a free trial or a particular promotional price, so it does not promise free access.
NFL+ says it is available only in the United States, excluding US territories. A US viewing guide therefore cannot establish British access. Select the UK channel or streaming package that includes the listed Sky Sports coverage, and check the match in that service before kickoff.
Why this meeting has an additional significance
ESPN says its coverage will revisit the September 25, 2006 meeting between the same teams that marked the Saints’ return to the Superdome. Its planned ManningCast guests include Steve Gleason, Sean Payton and Cooper Manning. The anniversary explains why the presentation includes more than the current fixture.
This is a pregame viewing guide, not a result report. The useful decision before kickoff is where and on which device to watch. Programme access and actual stream playback were not tested behind a subscriber login; use the official routes below to check your existing entitlement.
